We have an abundance of plastic waste on our planet. Plastic doesn’t just disappear. It stays around for hundreds of years and continues to pile up in our oceans and landfills and is a serious threat to the environment. Being in the fashion industry we feel it is important to take responsibility for the imprint we leave on the world, and therefore, we wanted to find a purpose for some of it instead. By using what we already have, MARKBERG RECYCLED was created.

MARKBERG RECYCLED is an ever-growing collection of sustainable bags – in both material and quality. All timeless pieces that are the perfect accessories for everyday life, holidays or festivals.

Wondering how plastic bottles can turn into bags? When recycling plastic bottles, they are cleaned and shredded into flakes, before melting these into small pellets. These pellets are turned into yarn, that’s used to create fabric for the bags. One man’s trash is quite literally another man’s treasure.

Recycling doesn’t mean compromising on quality. All our recycled bags are made in anti-tear and water-resistant material. This means they can stay with you for a very long time, which is extremely important to us. Durability is sustainability!
