Claims

On all of Markberg’s products there is by the Danish law a 24 months warranty, which includes manufacturing or material defects which may occur under normal use of the product. The warranty does not cover damage, malfunction or wear that is caused by poor maintenance, improper use or wear and tear.

If you discover an error, defect, or claim with your Markberg product, then please send us an e-mail to contact@markberg.com. Please attach some pictures of the claim and the receipt. When you have informed us about the claim and given us this information, we will arrange a return if the claim has been accepted. Please always make sure that the product is returned in a proper packaging. Markberg does not refund any shipping costs, if there hasn’t been made an agreement about it. Once we receive your claim, it will be reviewed and assessed within 2 business days.

Always remember to save the receipt and send a copy of it in any possible claim situation.

Markberg is only able to handle claims, that have been bought at markberg.dk or markberg.com. If your product is bought in a physical store or on another website, then please contact to the store in question.

It’s a good idea to treat the leather using care products now and again, if you want your bag to last you many years. It’s important that you are using the right care products that match the specific leather of your product.

Returns

We recommend that you send your return package as a track and trace delivery. This way we avoid any doubt that the package has been received at our warehouse.

Refund requests may take 1-2 business days (Mon-Fri) to review. Once approved, please allow up to 10 days for domestic customers and up to 35 business days for international customers, for the refund to be visible on your account due to varying processing times between payment providers.
 

Once the return has been checked by our team, we will refund you as quickly as possible and to the original payment method. If your purchase was made with a promotional voucher, you will receive a refund only for the amount paid—that is, the amount charged after the voucher was applied.

Your shipping costs will be excluded unless the item is faulty or canceled. If the item is faulty, please contact us before returning.  

Unfortunately, we are not able to process exchanges, not even when it comes to presents. If you want another style, color or size, simply return it and we will issue a refund to the original payment method, and then you can purchase the new item separately.

Shipping

All Markberg orders are shipped from our warehouse in Denmark to your country. The estimated delivery window provided by Markberg reflects most standard deliveries, 3-5 business days. However, some orders may occasionally be subject to longer transit time caused by freight delay, customs hold, or any other unforeseen complications outside of Markberg’s control. You will receive an e-mail, when the order has been packed at our warehouse and is ready for shipping. In this e-mail the tracking number will be listed. 

At Markberg.com we want to give our customers the best possible terms for delivery. The following will be the basis for our delivery and freight:

Orders for delivery in EU:

Free delivery to parcelshops for orders above 100 EUR. 

Freight cost 9 EUR for orders below 100 EUR. 

  

Orders for delivery outside EU: 

25 - 40 EUR 

The delivery will depend on which state or country you live in. 

Delivery to USA, Canada, Iceland, Greenland, and Australia will have the
freight cost of 40 EUR. 


Markberg will deliver your package with the carrier mentioned above and the package will be delivered to the provided delivery address.

Items in your order that are designated for shipment to countries outside of Denmark may be subject to taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of the shipment is the importer of record in the destination country and is responsible for all import fees. You may have to pay import taxes, customs duties, or a brokerage (handling) fee for your order. These charges are separate from your shipping fee, and you will be billed directly from the carrier of your choice. For specific information about customs, import duties, etc., please contact your local tax and customs authorities. 


Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges, and cannot tell you what the cost might be, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country. It might be a good idea to contact your local customs office for current charges before you order, so you are not surprised by charges you were not expecting. The customer must take full liability for any parcels returned to us due to unpaid customs charges. Postal charges, return shipment costs, customs charges and handling fees will all be deductible from any refund due.

For shipping to Norway: We have integrated the VOEC law for shipping to Norway, so there should not be any extra taxes or duties when the package arrives to Norway.
