We love materials that look good and work well in everyday life. That’s why we’ve created a collection of textile bags made from recycled polyester.

Polyester is well suited for bags because the material can be both lightweight and durable. And it’s easy to care for. It’s perfect for a crossbody bag that’s coming along to a festival when the rain starts to fall, or a toiletry bag that needs to be dirt-repellent – and everything in between.

Recycled polyester is made from existing plastic materials that are processed and transformed into new polyester fibers. The result is a material we can use across our designs – from small crossbody bags and bum bags to weekend bags and work bags.

A lot happens before existing plastic material ends up as fabric in a Markberg bag. First, the plastic is sorted and cleaned. It’s then broken down and processed into polyester fibers. The fibers are spun into yarn, and the yarn is turned into the fabric we use for our bags.
